FREE PRINTABLE: MAGIC JELLY BEANS

I found this idea on pinterest a year or so ago and I am so excited that Ellis is finally old enough to get excited about it! I decided to design a cute little packet to put the 'magic' beans in and turn it into a free printable so you guys can do it with your kiddos as well! I have so many memories as a kid getting so excited about the magic of the holidays. This is just another tradition to make Easter even more magical than it already is.

DIRECTIONS:
- Buy a bag of jellybeans and a bag of lollipops or suckers
- Download the free printable and print on card stock or thicker paper (8.5x11")
- Cut out and score on the dotted lines (shown below)
- Secure the tabs with double stick tape
- Fill the packet with jellybeans
- Put the packet in a fun place for your kid(s) to find on the Saturday before Easter
(under their pillow, in the mail box, in their shoe, etc.)
- Have them plant (or sprinkle) them either in a bowl of sugar or outside in the lawn
- After they have gone to bed, replace the beans with lollipops
- Watch them get so excited in the morning when they see that their magic jelly beans have turned into lollipops!!!

FREE PRINTABLE: 'Fancy Pants' Dollar Store Glitter Pen Valentines

I don't know about you, but I thought this one was pretty funny! Seriously... I crack myself up! ;)

One night I got it in my mind that I wanted to design some free printable valentines so I sat down and I designed all eight of them in one night. So here you go - the last valentine of the year. I had so much fun designing these and putting them together!

I got my glitter glue sticks from the dollar store.
You can buy them in-store or online! 10 for $1!!

Attach the glitter glue sticks with hot glue - it will peel right off!

FREE PRINTABLE: Gem Magnet Valentine

So... I feel I might have gone overboard on the valentines this year.
hmmm. Oh well - here is another one! ;)

This valentine can be printed and used without the magnet or you can craft the magnet to make it just a bit more special! It is quite possibly the easiest DIY ever!

FREE PRINTABLE: 'You're A Hoot' Mini Owl Eraser Valentine

Happy Monday! I have been a bit busy with freelance work and the five million other things I currently have on my plate, but I am trying to get all my free printable valentines posted for you all a good week or so before Valentine's Day! :)

I got these ADORABLE little mini owl erasers in the dollar section at Target. 60 for a buck! Now that makes for affordable valentines! I found them a few weeks ago, so they might be hard to find. If you plan on making these, I would call Target and ask if they are available in their dollar section and if not, ask if they plan on getting any more in. I hope they continue to restock. They are just too perfect to valentines!

ENJOY! XOXO

FREE PRINTABLE: You Make Me So Chappy Valentine

I found this cute ChapStick from dollar section at Target so I made a valentine for it! You can use any chapstick you want though! Lip Smackers would also be super cute!

I used this 3" paper punch from Consumer Crafts. It adds a little extra pizzazz to the valentines and it sure does make the project go fast! :)

Simply print, punch out the valentines, and attach the ChapStick with some hot glue. It will easily peel right off.

Enjoy!

FREE PRINTABLE: Glow Star Valentine Set

I told you I had a whole ton of these to share, so here is number two of the free valentine printables! I got the glow stars from the dollar section at Target, but you can buy them pretty much anywhere. I made four valentines out of one pack of stars - so that's only 25 cents per valentine! The bags I used were 4"x9", but as long as the bags you use are 4" in width, you should be good to go! 4" is a common size, so they should be easy to find. I had these ones just laying around the house. I believe they were from Michael's years ago.

How to:

And here are the ones I got from target in the dollar section:

FREE PRINTABLE: Mini Gel Pen Love Letter Valentines

I know it seems a bit early for a Valentine's Day post, but I have a whole ton of these FREE printable valentines to share, so I figured I better start now. :) I have worked up quite a few designs with items from the dollar section at Target and the Dollar Store. Valentine's Day is about a month away, so over the next few weeks I will be posting fun (and FREE) valentines designs!

So here we go with the first one...
I got a 6-pack of these adorable mini gel pens from the dollar section at Target for, you guessed it, a dollar! They have them right now, so go get 'em! If you need several packs, I would suggest calling ahead to see if they can hold a few for you or see when their next shipment is and if they can then hold you some. Unfortunately, they do not sell them online. :(

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FREE PRINTABLE FILE

Just cut them out and hot glue on the pens. (The glue will peel right off the pens.)

2015: Resolutions & free printable calendar picks!

Happy 2015! We rang in the new year with a few friends at our house and made a delicious dinner of salmon, swordfish, balsamic asparagus, blueberry and avocado salad and mini salted caramel cheesecakes! YUM! I will probably put the marinades for the fish and the salad on here at some point b/c the fish turned out amazing!

So here we are in 2015. I am always a bit ambitious when it comes to new years resolutions, but these are all things I truly want to work on this year. Now if I could just get Lennon on board with #2. ;)

I wish you all a happy and healthy 2015. And just incase you are in need of the most adorable 2015 calendar tea towel or FREE printable calendar, see below!

I am kind of in love with this tea towel. How awesome that it shows what fruits are in season each month?! It is actually fabric that you buy and hem, so in does involve a little DIY.

FREE PRINTABLE: BIRTHDAY CAKE PENNANT TOPPER

A few weeks ago my adorable nephew, Brixton, turned one! I made his birthday cake as a trade of services with his super talented mama for doing my hair! :)

Here is the backstory on why the cake is blue. Brixton loves his blue stuffed rhino named Rupert. Holly wanted the cake to be the same color as Rupert, so she bought the blue icing dye and gave it to me.  I had every intention of making a little rhino out of fondant to place on the top of the cake, but time just got away from me. Imagine that! When that happens, as it often does, I fall back on my graphic skills and make something out of paper! Here is what I came up with!

I made it into a free printable if any of you would like to use it!

Download the free printable HERE.
(print on 8.5x11" paper)

Here is what you will need:

And here is how you put it together:

And here is the birthday boy himself, with Rupert, of course! (Isn't he the cutest?!)

In case you are interested, here is the recipe I used. I got it from my co-worker who said it is pretty much amazing. Another co-worker made it and confirmed - YES, It is amazing!!! so I made it!

(I doubled the recipe and made it in two 12" round cake pans. I put a little bit of the frosting in between the layers to hold them together, then frosted the rest of it with the remaining frosting.)
